I live in southern Indiana and last week at this time is was in the teen and tonight it is in the 60's. In the past week we have had two days of sleet and freezing rain as well as temps in the single digits. You just never know what the weather is going to be like. Yes, I have several bird feeders and it is very calming to watch the birds. I especially enjoy watching the hummingbirds in the spring and summer - I could watch them all day.
I have a very dear friend who is in Indianna right now (retired teacher friend). She said they didn't get a lot of snow but that it is frigid cold out. Any change? Do you have a lot of bird feeders? You stated you like to sit on the porch and watch the birds. Sounds serene!
